Group apps together (in the dock) / stack apps in folders / categorize apps
Folders on the dock, to group apps together. And then maybe the folder would expand into a second dock where the different apps are shown like in the main dock. When I’m working without an external monitor, I have to scroll a lot in the dock (19 apps at the moment). And I really don’t like that. The scrolling part, but also don’t have an instant overview of all my apps. If I could group apps together that, for my workflow, are used together, I could bring back the overview and I won’t have to scroll in the dock. For example Tweetdeck, Facebook, Buffer are apps I use only when I’m doing a particular task. Even better would be that when the vertical space isn’t there, the apps would be grouped together in a folder or something. And when I’m on a big monitor, the apps would be normal in the dock, but maybe with a visual divider to show that the apps are actually grouped.
Integration with password managers (1password, Lastpass & Dashlane)
SUMMARY As a user I want to be able to log in easily in the web apps using my password manager (Dashlane, 1password, etc) so that I don’t have to copy paste the login and password every time I configure a new service. GIVE US CONTEXT (tell us about the current experience) When I configure a new service, I don’t know what login and password I used because in a browser, my password manager is automatically signing me in. PROVIDE DETAILS (tell us what you are looking to change) I’d like to have the same automatic/easy sign in experience than in the browser. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT (how would it change your experience) The main advantages for me are: Easier and faster to configure a new service No need to copy and paste the login and password from another app
Add Separators In The Dock
SUMMARY (your need in one sentence) Lines or other separators so we can visually group app icons together in the dock. GIVE US CONTEXT (tell us about the current experience) I find it’s tough to keep the apps organized. I’d like to be able to group apps together and have visual separation. PROVIDE DETAILS (tell us what you are looking to change) I’d like a small line or something that can be dragged and used to separate groups of apps. DESCRIBE THE IMPACT (how would it change your experience) The main advantages for me are: being able to see groups of apps at a glance being able to group apps by feature or use etc. Thanks!
Colored Icons for apps in Sidebar
I like to find my apps quickly, and the lack of color in the app icons isn’t great for that. A setting to have colored icons always would be great.
The MEDIA dock
There are already a couple of posts talking about integrating media keys into web media apps. Hoorray for that. Upvoting. Now, to take it up a notch, how about this. I think the image is pretty self-explanatory, but here it goes anyhow. A special kind of dock for media apps, with a panel of "Now playing" information, all the media apps grouped there, and of course, media keys working.
Have a dark or night mode / allow custom themes in Station / change UI color / add CSS styling
Hi guys, Firstly, thanks for the product. As a developer and a productivity geek, I can use my favourite tools together in Station App. But I’m also a dark theme geek. I use almost every tools with dark theme option or I switch theme via Stylus and userstyles.org . If you can add some adding/importing CSS feature , I’d be really happy. At night, I have to use Chrome instead of Station because of these dark theme options. Again thanks for the great app, have a great process!
When is 2.0 Coming?
It looks like the bug fixes are stuck in limbo and the response since last year is that there is a 2.0 version coming. Is there an ETA? In the meantime, I stopped using Station because there are just too many bugs and causing me to be less efficient than using it.
Coyo App integration
It would be awesome to have the Coyo Social Intranet app integrated for workplace communication. https://www.coyoapp.com
Decrease resource usage
Please decrease the resource usage because in background it eats up 1 - 2 GB ram.
Add "Copy Image" to right-click menu
Currently, when an image is maximized, the right-click menu doesn't have the option to copy the image to the clipboard. It only has "Save Image", "Copy Image URL" and a few others. It would be nice to be able to copy the actual image bytes in one app, then paste it in another. Wavebox does that.
